The Vashon Spring weave
The Vashon Spring Weave: PRIDE PARTY 🌈
On May 21st, River Powers receives the 2026 VIPA Scholarship. On May 23rd, the fire moves to the NEXT generation! We are gathered to celebrate our youth and launch the 2027 VIPA Scholarship fund. We are replenishing the pot so that the chain of support for our queer youth never breaks. 10% of gross proceeds + 100% of direct donations support the Vashon Community Scholarship Foundation.

Support our mission! We are seeking local businesses to partner with us through product donations, sponsorships, or "Scholarship Discounts" (20%+) on food and beverages. Help us lower our operational costs so that every dollar goes back to the fund.

Mischief & Makers Camp
Three days. Twelve workshops. Zero screens (okay, maybe your camera).
Mischief & Makers Camp lands at Iola Gardens on Vashon Island, August 7-9, and it's the kind of weekend your over-scheduled self has been quietly craving.
Think: hands-in-clay, fire-cooked meals, new skills from working artists, and enough downtime to actually hear yourself think. Camp out under the trees, grab a shared room, or go full solo retreat with a private room.
Arrive early Friday evening. Leave Sunday with new friends, new tricks, and probably a very strong opinion about your favorite workshop.

You loved the garden, and so did we. We are opening the gates of the Iola Gardens Signature Cafe for another weekend of sipping, snooping, and wandering the paths as we prepare for our June membership launch!

Start your day at the edge of the Clearing with Pollard coffee and a seasonal Nosh menu curated exclusively by Maven Meals. Settle into a garden table, find your spot in the meadow, and experience our first major unfolding. This is your glimpse into the routine and recovery engineered at Iola Gardens before our full Residency Memberships begin on June 1st.
Barn Bistro Nights
Friday May 8th (5pm–8pm) | Garden Bistro Evening at the Barn.
Start your weekend with the return of our favorite collaborative partner, Liz of Vashon Wine Shop. We are setting the bistro tables for an evening of exceptional wine and simple, seasonal plates, integrated seamlessly into the garden. Purchase your ticket now ($20) to secure your entry. Your ticket includes your first glass of curated wine paired with a classic French Petit Bite. Note: Seating is open (first come, first serve). Settle into the intentional calm of Iola Gardens and enjoy.

First of two weekends dedicated to the Vashon community. Come find your spot in the meadow, meet our partners, and reclaim your peace.
FRI (4pm–9pm): Twilight spritzes with guest bartender Jake Heil (Ruby Brink) and official house pours from Pollard Vineyard.
SAT & SUN (10am–3pm): Morning in the meadow. Fresh coffee, tea, and brunch goodies from Maven Meals (think seasonal tarts, scones, and strawberry salads).
